The Prachovice area is famous as a rich limestone deposit which is still being extracted today.
The Berl Lime Works constitutes a tangible legacy of the history of lime production and it acquaints visitors with the beginnings of this branch of industry in the Iron Mountains. The building at the edge of the town of Třemošnice was in operation up to 1960. At present, it houses exhibitions on the history of lime production.
