The first artificial ice rink in Pszów was founded in the early 1970s, thanks to the “Anna” Coal Mine operating in the town.
In 1973 a hockey section was set up; however, it was active for only a few years. As time passed, the mine stopped using the rink. The facility was taken over by the town authorities and in 2001 a new rink was opened. Three years later a spectacular roof was installed. In consecutive stages the building was developed and expanded so that it could be used for recreational and sporting purposes through the whole year.
Outside of the winter season a skate-park is available for use on the premises, as well as tennis courts. Those willing can also use the gym/fitness centre. The most popular attraction however is the rink, which during the winter season is very popular with skating enthusiasts from all over the region.
